About the room

Morning sun and a view of Szrenica

Chybotek is on the first floor, facing south – the sun comes in from around 10 am. From the 6 m² balcony you can see part of the Karkonosze and Szrenica itself.

The balcony overlooks ul. Okrzei – a quiet one-way local road, used mainly by hikers heading into the Karkonosze. Across the road stand two single-storey cottages over a hundred years old that add charm to the area.

The room has a comfortable double bed, a small table with chairs and a kettle. A private hallway leads to the room, and the bathroom has a shower.

The trails and the Szrenica chairlift are about 100 metres away – the house is right next to the Karkonosze National Park.

Where the name comes from

Chybotek Rock

The room is named after a granite rock formation on the slopes of the Jizera Mountains, a few minutes' walk from the Złoty Widok viewpoint. Its main boulder, roughly four metres high, can supposedly be rocked – hence the name ("chybotać" means to wobble).

According to old legends, the rock hides the entrance to a cave with treasure. A walk to Złoty Widok and Chybotek makes a lovely afternoon outing.

Before you arrive

Mountains or waterfall? Chybotek looks out on the Karkonosze and Szrenica. If you'd rather see our Szrenicówka waterfall, choose Kamieńczyk or Szklarka.

Ground-floor lounge, 100 m² – fireplace, sofas, 65″ TV, games and a kitchenette for guests. See the shared spaces

Kitchenette without a hob. The lounge has a fridge, kettle and microwave, but no hob or oven.

Ski room by the entrance – skis in winter, pushchairs in summer. Bikes can be locked in the monitored shed.
